Dear Petsworth Families, As we make plans for the rest of 2024, we have been reflecting on all the accomplishments and wonderful memories we made in 2023. We hosted events like All Pro Dad, Morning Movers, Movie Night, Santa Breakfast, and our first Care Fair. Our PTA also worked hard to organize many family activities, including Trunk or Treat, Harvest Hoedown, and our school’s Holiday Parade float. During the holiday season, our school was blessed by many generous community organizations and staff donors who supported our families via our Angel Tree. Thank you to Petsworth Baptist Church, Gleaning Baptist Church, Miller’s Services, and all who contributed. Looking ahead, we have even more to look forward to in the second half of our school year. Students will have the opportunity to participate in activities like Petsworth Pacers and Palette Pals. In February, we will honor Black History Month. We will also celebrate Virginia Kindness Week with fun spirit days and by collecting donations for our Care Closet. See page three for more information. We are truly grateful for our community partners, volunteers, and family members who support our school by giving their time and resources.
