Information

Here are some announcements for the week ahead.

Even though tomorrow is President’s Day, we do have a half day of school tomorrow, Monday, February 19th. Dismissal will begin at 1:30pm. Also a reminder that there is no House Leader meeting tomorrow morning.

All of our Petsworth Patriots have earned a school-wide incentive! Students voted and the winning activity was to “bring a stuffed animal to school day.” Students are welcome to bring a stuffed animal that is no bigger than the size of a bookbag tomorrow, Monday, February 19th. While we would like for this day to be fun, we also want to make sure that the stuffed animals are not a huge disruption to the learning environment. Thank you for your help with this!

Mrs. Watkins, our PE teacher, will be hosting Family Volleyball nights again on Mondays from 6:30-8:00 pm for students in 4th and 5th grades. If you have students in younger grades that would like to come and watch the older kids play volleyball, you are welcome to do so! The first Family Volleyball night will be tomorrow, Monday, February 19th beginning at 6:30pm.

On Thursday, February 22nd, our Kindergarten and First grade students who collected donations will participate in the Kids Heart Challenge during the school day. For students in grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, the Kids Heart Challenge will occur after school on Friday, February 23rd from 4:15pm until 6:00pm for those who signed up. We could still use volunteers for both of these events, so please reach out to Mollie Tranium or call the main office if you are interested in helping.

Friday, February 23rd is also going to be a day where we ask students to wear the color blue to celebrate the Severn House. The Severn House has the mascot of the blue crabs and their character trait is respect. We hope to see lots of respectful Patriots rocking the color blue on Friday!

Those are all of this week’s announcements.
