Good evening Petsworth families! This is Mrs. Mygas calling with some announcements for this week.
This year at school, we are working on focusing on one of our five houses each month. In the month of December, we are shining a spotlight on the North House and their character trait which is determination. Teachers and staff will be taking note of students who demonstrate determination and students’ names will be shared on the morning announcements!
Also, paper ornaments went home with students to decorate and bring back to school. We will be hanging these on our House trees. The House that brings back the most ornaments will earn a reward!
Tomorrow, Monday, December 4th, there will be a House Leader meeting at 8am.
Tuesday, December 5th and Thursday, December 7th we will have morning tutoring for selected 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Students can be dropped off at the front of the building beginning at 7:55am.
Wednesday, December 6th, the PTA will have a Spirit Night from 5-9pm at Duke’s Deli. Stop by Duke’s for dinner and spin the wheel at a chance to win some prizes. Proceeds from food sales will go to our PTA.
Thursday, December 7th, students will be able to shop for holiday gifts for family members at our Lil Shoppers Holiday Shop. If you would like for your student to be able to purchase something, please send in cash for this event.
Friday, December 8th we will have Breakfast with Santa in the cafeteria beginning at 7:45am. Please fill out the paper that went home with students to RSVP so the cafeteria knows how much food to prepare. Families will eat breakfast in the cafeteria and then be invited to the gym to take a picture with Santa.
Also on Friday, our 3rd grade students will be taking a field trip to the bowling alley to study force and motion in science.
